PETR ŘÍHA
Petr Říha has worked at the Ministry of the Interior since 2010, when he started as the director of the eGovernment architecture department. In 2011, he moved up to the post of CIO. After a reorganization at the Ministry, he is currently the director of the chief eGovernment architect’s department. Before joining the ministry, he worked for several years for Microsoft Consulting Services, where he was responsible for the public sector.

Currently, they are completing some key eGovernment projects, other systems are already running and several future projects are under preparation. This generates growing costs, especially for securing an operational environment. The state budget is increasingly tighter and we are facing the issue of how to ensure that investment will be utilized efficiently without affecting our goal of improving the quality of public administration services.
